Offline POS readiness is a drill, not a promise

Short connectivity interruptions should have an agreed operating response. Restaurant 2050 includes local basket persistence and offline cash-sale queue workflows for compatible POS use. These help retain work, but a disconnected device cannot guarantee that a remote kitchen or payment provider has received anything.
A workflow worth demonstrating
Run a controlled connectivity drill on the actual register. Build a basket, queue an eligible cash sale, restore connectivity and confirm that the server receives one order rather than duplicates. Verify the kitchen ticket after synchronization. Agree how staff communicate with the kitchen while disconnected and which actions require a live server connection.
What to measure before you expand
Record synchronization time, duplicate prevention and whether the operator can distinguish queued from accepted work. Test device restart and stale prices as separate cases. Discuss local-server or network setup services where resilience is a business requirement. The right rollout includes training and recovery procedures, not a blanket claim that every function works offline.
